What is NLP, (neuro-linguistic programming)  it is a way of changing someone's thoughts and behaviors to help achieve a desired outcome. NLP has lots of tools that will help to get past the conscious mind to help form new beliefs.

NLP also shows how the body is connected to the mind and how Our physical state influences our mind.  for instance your posture itself makes a big difference on the way you feel.  if you stand straight and control your breathing its changes your mental state and you will feel better, even in a stressful situation. another example is tensing up your muscles for willpower making it easier to withstand pain or resist tempting food.
